The purpose of the Science Fair is to give students a chance to ask questions, explore and learn independently.
The learning process is so much more important than the finished project. Please encourage your child to follow his/her curiosity. The role of caregivers is to provide guidance, assistance, and encouragement.
Each student will be provided a space approximately 4’ x 2.5’. Tri-fold boards are useful to demonstrate the student’s project, but not required. Be creative! Websites like ScienceBuddies.org and Education.com/Science-Fair have lots of ideas to get you started.
Each student will be visited by a volunteer judge. Questions asked may with their idea, the process of bringing their idea to life, and what they hoped to learn v. what they actually include how the student came up learned. Students will be judged on their project and their presentation.
